(For the sake of completeness, the toll road option is only available for use with Google Maps the highway option is available for use with Google Maps and with Open Street Maps.)Īs a result, the highway and toll road buttons at the top of the map are gone. The same options are available from the popup menu that appears on the map on selecting the waypoint. Another click on the same button turns it back. How does that work? Very simple: select a waypoint from the list, then click the button for highways (or toll roads) to the right of the list to switch the use of highways (toll roads) for the section up to the next waypoint. That is now possible.īut the other way around is also possible: if you have a route in which highways (toll roads) may be used, you can specify for a part of the route that they should nevertheless be avoided. But you may still want to allow the use of highways (or toll roads) for part of the route, for example for your approach route. In the preferences you have probably set that highways (and/or toll roads) should be avoided. Now it is possible to plan parts of the route in a different way. Until now, the entire route only had to be planned in one way. The most important change is the ability to plan more flexibly with highways and toll roads. This is a major update: important changes! I have changed some code, and I hope the bug is gone now. There was a bug that could cause a memory error message ('Access violation') on closing Tyre (or on closing a file). An adjustment has now been made, so that hopefully this will be a thing of the past on all computers. Some USB devices (not intended for storage) could cause problems in Tyre, causing the message 'Busy.' to appear far too often and incorrectly. If an internal error occurs, Tyre will try to save the current situation and then restart with that situation. Until now, that was difficult, because every user had to do this themselves via the Task Manager.

That is why that possibility has now been brought out more clearly as an option in the 'Waypoint' menu.Įvery now and then there is an internal error in Tyre. In addition, there is an option to search deeper, but many users were unable to find it. The yellow search box is for looking up something quickly. In the previous build the option to swap avoiding/using highways and toll roads was not completely finished yet. The new tab is named 'Waypoints', and it contains the new feature and several older options related to waypoints. This option can be selected from the 'Waypoints' tab in the 'Preferences' window.Īs a result, the 'Preferences' window has changed: now there are 7 tabs (instead of 6). Lots of people asked for this feature, and now it is realized.

There is a new option to have your waypoints displayed on the map: with numbers inside the waypoint image!
#Tomtom mydrive connect cache update#
This is an update with an important new feature: numbered waypoints on the map. (Until version 4.0 Tyre was known as ‘Google-TomTom’.)
